Two performance improvement initiatives at Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Hurst-Euless-Bedford were featured in a story on AMNHealthcare.com. Cory Franks, R.N., B.S.N., a patient care facilitator, designed a performance improvement project around CareConnect, and Karen Robertson, R.N., B.S.N, surgical care improvement project coordinator, worked with a team that created a performance improvement project around Foley catheters. Kristin Duncan, R.N. B.S.N., M.B.A., director of quality management at Texas Health HEB, was quoted about the role of nursing in performance improvement.
