Sharon Hillgartner, APRN, WHNP-BC, manager of the new Center for Cancer Risk Reduction and Genetics at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas, was interviewed on KRLD-AM (1080). She spoke about a new study in the New England Journal of Medicine that suggested newer types of chemotherapy can prevent breast cancer in women at high risk for the disease – without the side effects of traditional medications.
