Amy Goodson, registered dietitian at Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Fort Worth and Texas Health Ben Hogan Sports Medicine, was interviewed on KTVT-TV (Ch. 11) for a story about snacking contributing more to the obesity epidemic in America.

Texas Health Dallas on Good Morning Texas

Dr. Gary Weinstein, a pulmonologist on the medical staff at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas and director of the hospital's asthma management program, was interviewed this week on WFAA-TV's (Ch. 8) Good Morning Texas program. Weinstein spoke about the latest advances in asthma treatment. Texas Health Dallas in the first and only hospital in North Texas to offer bronchial thermoplasty, a new non-medicine based treatment for people with severe allergies.

We anticipate a story will run July 3 on KXAS-TV (Ch. 5) about the benefits of retail therapy. Interviewed for the story were Barbara Alderete, LCSW, LPC, LMFT, manager with Texas Health Springwood, and Jenni Markos, M.S., exercise physiologist, cardiac rehab at Texas Health HEB. Alderete’s interview was filmed in the newly renovated Gift Shoppe at Texas Health HEB.

All About Life Radio Show to Spotlight Robotic Surgery

This week's All About Life Radio show on KRLD-AM (1080) will focus on robotic surgery systems being used to help patients recover faster and with less pain. Host Dr. David Slater will be joined by Dr. Ken Adams, physical medicine and rehabilitation physician on the medical staff at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas, and Dr. Thomas Heffernan, gynecologic oncologist on the medical staff at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Plano.
