An article on mobile health applications in July 6 editions of the Star-Telegram quoted Dr. Luis Saldaña, associate chief medical information officer for Texas Health Resources, and Dr. Ignacio Nuñez, OB/GYN on the medical staff of Texas Health Arlington Memorial Hospital. The coverage included a photo of Nuñez using a smartphone.

Texas Health Fort Worth, Texas Health Plano on KTVT-TV, KTXA-TV

Texas Health professionals were interviewed about new research published in the Annals of Internal Medicine discussing new mammography recommendations. Dr. Robin Skrine, medical director of breast services at Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Fort Worth, was interviewed live on KTVT-TV (Ch. 11). Sharon Hillgartner, APRN, WHNP-BC, nurse practitioner with Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Plano’s Center for Cancer Risk Reduction and Genetics, was interviewed about the center and a new study on mammograms. Hillgartner’s interview was featured on KTVT-TV and KTXA-TV (Ch. 21).

Texas Health Kaufman in Kaufman Herald

A story about this year’s Black Tie Ball, benefitting Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Kaufman, was recently published in The Kaufman Herald. The fundraising event will be held Nov. 12 at the Belo Mansion in Dallas. Proceeds from this year’s annual gala will help support women’s and children’s services in Kaufman County.

Texas Health HEB on featured a story about Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Hurst-Euless-Bedford’s re-designation as a Primary Stroke Center by the Joint Commission. Debbie Paganelli, hospital president, and Dr. Husam Alkhersam, medical director and a neurologist on the medical staff at Texas Health HEB, were quoted.
