The Dallas Business Journal reported on its website that Texas Health Resources received more than $7.3 million in Medicaid incentive payments for meeting criteria for the adoption and implementation of its electronic health record. Steve Hanson, senior executive vice president for system growth and integration for Texas Health, was quoted.
The five Texas Health Resources hospitals listed in U.S. News & World Report’s annual ranking of the nation’s Best Hospitals were featured on the Dallas Business Journal site. The recognized hospitals were Texas Health Arlington Memorial Hospital, Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Fort Worth, Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Southwest Fort Worth, Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas and Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Plano.
Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Southlake was named to the 2011 Dallas Business Journal Best Places to Work list. Texas Health Southlake was one of 52 North Texas-based organizations honored.

Dr. Matthew Ganio, a postdoctoral fellow at the Institute for Exercise and Environmental Medicine at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas, was quoted in the Chicago Tribune. Ganio talked about research into how extreme heat affects the body.

Cameron Gulley Fox, R.N., the first baby born at Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Southwest Fort Worth, appeared in a feature story in ADVANCE for Nurses magazine about the nurse returning to her roots and joining the hospital’s women services staff on the postpartum unit. Fox and Cathy Johnson, R.N., M.S., director of women’s services, were quoted.
