The August issue of Hospital & Health Networks magazine featured Texas Health Resources for receiving a Most Wired Innovator Award, one of six presented nationally. Texas Health was recognized for using “Best Practice” alerts in its electronic health record to help reduce patients’ risk of getting blood clots during hospital stays. Dr. Ferdinand Velasco, Texas Health’s chief medical information officer, was quoted.
