Texas Health Resources’ agreement with UT Southwestern Medical Center to seek collaborative opportunities was featured in Becker’s Hospital Review. The two organizations will look at ways to work together to deliver more efficient, integrated and affordable quality care to North Texas communities.

Texas Health Resources in Star-Telegram

Sept. 16 editions of the Star-Telegram included a photo of Doug Hawthorne, Texas Health Resources CEO, with other CEOs at North Texas LEAD’s 10th anniversary luncheon. The organization helps community leaders and employers collaborate to tap and employ the rich array of diverse talent that increasingly comprises the American workforce. Hawthorne is a past chairman of North Texas LEAD.

Texas Health Kaufman, Texas Health Cleburne in Dallas Business Journal

Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Kaufman and Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Cleburne were highlighted in the Dallas Business Journal. The story featured North Texas hospitals recognized by the Joint Commission as Top Performers on Key Quality Measures, a new program by the commission that uses accountability measures to rate hospitals. A hospital had to earn a compliance score of at least 95 percent on two measurements to be named a top performer. About 14 percent of Joint Commission-accredited hospitals and critical-access facilities around the country made the list. Texas Health Kaufman was recognized for pneumonia and surgical care. Texas Health Cleburne was recognized for heart failure, pneumonia and surgical care.
