Texas Health Kaufman in The Athens News

The Athens News recently featured Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Kaufman for being named one of the nation’s top performers in two key quality measures by The Joint Commission, the leading accreditation agency of health care organizations in the United States. Less than 15 percent of U.S. hospitals achieved the honor. Patsy Youngs, president of Texas Health Kaufman, Dr. Mark Sij, chief quality officer, and Denise Claussen, chief nursing officer, were quoted.

Dr. Shailja Parikh, a cardiologist at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Plano, was recently interviewed on KDAF-TV (Ch. 33) about what women need to know about their target heart rates when exercising. The story also was featured on the station’s website.

Texas Health Resources in Dallas Business Journal

The Dallas Business Journal reported that nine companies in the Dallas-Fort Worth area were recognized in the 2011 InformationWeek 500 List of Top Technology Innovators, including Texas Health Resources. Texas Health was ranked No. 62 and has appeared on the list for 11 consecutive years.
