The Star-Telegram reported Texas Health Resources’ selection as one of 32 organizations to participate in the federal Pioneer Accountable Care Organization (ACO) Model in its Dec. 20 editions. Texas Health will collaborate with North Texas Specialty Physicians to test the ACO model in Tarrant, Johnson and Parker counties. The model allows health care organizations to provide more coordinated care to beneficiaries at a lower cost to Medicare. Barclay Berdan, Texas Health senior executive vice president for system alignment and performance, was quoted.
