HMFW trauma surgeon on 'Today' show
Dr. David Smith, medical director of trauma-care services at Harris Methodist Fort Worth Hospital, was interviewed live on NBC's Today show with Matt Lauer this morning.
Smith was interviewed alongside Truman Duncan, a patient who credits him with saving his life after he was run over by a train two years ago in Cleburne.
Duncan is one of less than 50 people in medical literature to have survived such an injury. Follow this link to read the story and watch the interview.
The story also ran today on MSNBC and on the local morning news show on KXAS (Ch. 5).
