Texas Health Kaufman in Athens Daily Review
Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Kaufman recently became the first hospital in Texas to receive Level III stroke certification from the Department of Health and Human Services. A story about the certification, designed to recognize smaller hospitals that have implemented advanced stroke-treatment programs, recently appeared in the Athens Daily Review. The story included comments from Patsy Youngs, president of Texas Health Kaufman; Robin Roberts, R.N., stroke coordinator; Denise Claussen, chief nursing officer; and Drs. Paul Roberts and Jeff Butterfield, emergency medicine physicians on the hospital’s medical staff.
