Harris Methodist Walls Regional Hospital employees and a volunteer and physician were recognized in the media this week. The Star-Telegram recognized Melody Ball, a clinical education specialist at Harris Methodist Walls Regional Hospital, for her work in the Congo. The paper also recognized Dianne Applegate as HMWR’s volunteer of the year, Debbie Palmer, R.N., C.E.N., risk manager and patient safety coordinator, as the manager of excellence and Linda Cook, a housekeeper, was named employee of the year.

PHD Interventional Cardiologists Beam Live Cases to International Conference
Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas was one of only a handful of medical centers in the United States to broadcast live interventional cases this week to the prestigious Vascular InterVentional Advances conference in Las Vegas, Nev. The VIVA conference annually educates over 1,000 physicians and medical personnel on the latest advances in the treatment of peripheral vascular disease. Drs. Tony Das, James Park and Kenneth Saland demonstrated cases from the cardiac cath lab at PHD.
