Texas Health Dallas in Dallas Morning News

The Dallas Area Rape Crisis Center opened its new offices at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas. A story about the new center was in April 11 editions of The Dallas Morning News. The space was donated by the hospital and Texas Health Presbyterian Foundation. Funding also came from the W.W. Caruth Foundation, which gave $2 million in 2010 to improve services for sexual assault victims in Dallas County. The hospital received $1.5 million, with much of that going to construct a facility where sexual assault victims receive specialized care. The money also helped fund the hospital’s Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner program, which trains nurses on how to conduct sexual assault forensic exams.
