The Skin Care Committee at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas, made up of nurses from various specialties, was featured in Advance for Nurses. The online story highlights the hospital exceeding national benchmarks in Hospital Acquired Pressure Ulcers — with rates improving from 10 percent in 2009 to 0 percent last year. The article was an essay that submitted by Debbie Kelp, R.N., staff nurse and chair of the Skin Care Committee, to highlight the group’s work. Cole Edmonson, hospital chief nursing officer, Kelp and the entire Skin Care Committee were pictured.
Texas Health Dallas in Healthy Living Magazine
Becky Althaus, R.N., Ph.D., a genetics counselor at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas, was quoted in the current edition of Healthy Living magazine, a publication of The Dallas Morning News. Althaus spoke about “genetic health scans” that consumers can order online, without a doctor’s prescription.
