HMFW, Smith and Bixler Top Local News Stations
Truman Duncan’s life was saved two years ago by Dr. David Smith, medical director of trauma at Harris Methodist Fort Worth Hospital, after he was cut in half by a train. On Oct. 2, he shared his story with KDFW-TV (Channel 4), WFAA-TV (Channel 8), KTVT-TV (Channel 11) and KDAF-TV (Channel 33).
Smith talked about how the team of nurses and physicians worked together to save his life. Dr. Glenn Bixler, rehabilitation physician on the medical staff at HMFW, talked about Duncan’s rehabilitation and his new journey to learn how to use prosthetics.

Springwood Center Grand Opening on KTVT-TV
The grand opening of the Springwood Center of Southwest Fort Worth, Harris Methodist Springwood Hospital's new behavior health center, was featured on KTVT-TV (Channel 11) at 6 p.m. on Oct. 1. Ramona Osburn, director of Harris Methodist Springwood Hospital, was interviewed about the new facility its very unique program for cardiac patients suffering from depression.
