Dr. Jay Staub, an OB-GYN on the medical staff at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas, was quoted in a front page story in May 26 editions of The Dallas Morning News. The feature story highlighted the journey of Navy Lt. Patrick Boothe, who flew home from his base in Afghanistan last week to be with his newborn son in the Texas Health Dallas NICU. Staub performed an emergency C-section to deliver the baby six weeks early because in-utero complications threatened the child’s life. Boothe watched the delivery live on the Internet, then immediately boarded a military flight home. He reunited with his family on May 25. A similar story also appeared that evening on WFAA-TV (Ch. 8).
Texas Health Cleburne in Fort Worth Business Press
Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Cleburne was featured in this week’s Fort Worth Business Press. The hospital earned national recognition as the winner of the inaugural 2012 Pathway Award. Texas Health Cleburne was recognized by the American Nurses Credentialing Center for a clinical project that focused on using advanced practice nurses to reduce hospital readmissions and preventable emergency department visits.
