A new Emergency Care Center being constructed at Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Fort Worth was featured in the Star-Telegram, The Dallas Morning News, the Dallas Business Journal, KRLD-AM (1080), KDFW-TV (Ch. 4), and KTVT-TV (Ch. 11). We anticipate coverage of the groundbreaking ceremony to appear on WFAA-TV (Ch. 8), KXAS-TV (Ch. 5), KDFW-TV (Ch. 4), and KDAF-TV (Ch. 33) this evening. Lillie Biggins, president of Texas Health Fort Worth, and Dr. Terence McCarthy, emergency physician on the medical staff, were interviewed.

Texas Health Kaufman, Texas Health Dallas in Kaufman Herald

Jeff Council, a member of the Kaufman City Council, suffered a heart attack Tuesday afternoon and was rushed to Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Kaufman. He was eventually transferred to Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas, where doctors performed emergency angioplasty and inserted two stents in his heart, according to a story in The Kaufman Herald.

More than 150 runners and walkers participated in Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Kaufman’s Spring Into action 5K in March, raising more than $6,000 for the hospital’s car seat-safety initiative. A story about the annual fundraiser was in a recent edition of The Kaufman Herald.

Dr. Timothy Ragsdale, ear nose and throat specialist on the medical staff at Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Hurst Euless Bedford, was featured in a live in-studio interview on KXAS news channel 5.2 program Nonstop Nightly that discussed the recent rise in children ingesting button batteries.

Texas Health Cleburne in Cleburne Times-Review

Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Cleburne was recently featured in the Cleburne Times-Review. Blake Kretz, Texas Health Cleburne president, physical therapist Rainier Botha and physical therapy assistant Denise Spradlin were quoted in an article that highlighted the hospital’s AlterG anti-gravity treadmill. The machine allows patients to exercise without pain while recovering from surgery or injury.
