Texas Health Hospitals in Fort Worth Business Press

Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Azle, Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Plano, Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Fort Worth, and Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Hurst-Euless-Bedford were featured in the Fort Worth Business Press for earning “A” scores in The Leapfrog Group’s Hospital Safety Score Initiative.

Texas Institute for Surgery on WFAA-TV

Dr. James Montgomery, an orthopedic surgeon on the medical staff of Texas Institute for Surgery at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas, was interviewed for a June 29 story on WFAA-TV (Ch. 8). It featured Friends in Kneed, a resource for recovering athletes. A teen patient created the website following her surgery to encourage young athletes to support one another through sharing their experiences.

Texas Health Kaufman in Athens Daily Review

A recent article in the Athens Daily Review highlighted the work of clinicians and administrators at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Kaufman to treat 35 victims of a school bus accident in May. The story included quotes from Patsy Youngs, hospital president, Kevin Smith, safety officer and administrative director of ancillary and support services, Brandi Crow, R.N., director of nursing, and Dr. Mark Sij, chief quality officer and a physician on the hospital’s medical staff. In the article, Todd Williams, superintendent of the Kaufman Independent School District, thanked clinicians at Texas Health Kaufman for quickly and professionally caring for the students.

Texas Health Dallas on KRLD-AM

Dr. Mark Till, chair of emergency medicine at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas and a physician on the hospital’s medical staff, was interviewed last week on KRLD (1080 AM). Dr. Till talked about the high temperatures in North Texas and how people can avoid dehydration and heat exhaustion.

Texas Health Allen, Texas Health Plano on featured an item about Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Allen’s recent Quality Respiratory Recognition award from the American Association for Respiratory Care. The story quoted Diane Baltzell, RRT, director of Respiratory Care and Neurodiagnostics. featured an item on the Doctor for a Day program offered at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Plano to teach 30 area Girl Scouts about scoliosis. Sara Brice, program director at the Scoliosis & Spine Tumor Center located at Texas Health Plano, was quoted.
