I’m Doug Hawthorne, CEO of Texas Health Resources, with “The Business of Health Care Report.”
Texas Health cares for more hearts than any other health care system in North Texas. Texas Health has partnered with cardiologists and cardiothoracic surgeons on the medical staff at Texas Health Arlington Memorial to forge a visionary partnership that demonstrates our commitment to remain the health system of choice for heart and vascular care in North Texas.
Texas Health Heart & Vascular is Tarrant County’s newest heart hospital. A joint venture with physicians, it is located in the Tom Vandergriff Surgical Tower on the campus of Texas Health Arlington Memorial.
Staffed by some of D-FW’s leading heart and vascular physicians, it is comprised of 48 beds, four operating rooms, two cardiac catheterization labs, a procedure room and an electrophysiology lab. It offers the Metroplex’s only Hansen robotic catheter system for treating abnormal heart rhythms with more precision.
Dr. Baron Hamman, a leading cardiothoracic surgeon in North Texas, has been named president of the facility.
Texas Health Arlington Memorial and Texas Health Heart & Vascular will work hand-in-hand to provide a streamlined process for patients needing cardiac services. This is another example of how Texas Health is engaging with physicians to transform the delivery of care in North Texas and improve the health of the people in the communities we serve.
For Texas Health Resources and its faith-based family of hospitals, Texas Health Presbyterian, Texas Health Harris Methodist, and Texas Health Arlington Memorial, I’m Doug Hawthorne.
