I’m Doug Hawthorne, CEO of Texas Health Resources, with “The Business of Health Care Report.”
When Nancy Timmons of Fort Worth decided to focus more on her well-being, she didn’t have to look further than her computer for advice. After enrolling in Texas Health’s Daily Challenge, Nancy began receiving daily emails containing recommendations for engaging her mind, body and spirit to improve her health.
These emails, the cornerstone of the Daily Challenge program, remind participants that a little work every day can mean huge improvements to overall health. According to Healthways and MeYou Health, the creators of Daily Challenge, half of the program’s participants remain active in the program for at least 30 days, and the small changes the program recommends can have an positive effect overall on health and well-being.
Enrollment in the Daily Challenge also provides participants a social outlet for encouragement and support from others. Featuring opportunities to connect with other users, the site encourages users to share ideas and advice with other program members.
The Daily Challenge is a great way to improve your health — one step at a time.
