Olive Named Vice President of Operations for Arlington Memorial Hospital
11/02/2007

ARLINGTON, Texas — Arlington Memorial Hospital has named Larry Olive its new vice president of operations.

Olive, who has overseen operations at Arlington Memorial Hospital for more than nine years, is being promoted to the system officer level for Texas Health Resources as AMH's Vice President of Operations. Olive replaces Chris Leu, who served as the hospital’s vice president of operations and business development and was named president of Harris Methodist Erath County in July.

As vice president of operations, Olive has responsibility for operations, fiscal management, strategic planning, and human resources. His portfolio also includes patient safety and quality performance for eight ancillary support departments – laboratory, radiology, pharmacy, plant operations, respiratory care, rehabilitation services, food and nutrition services and social services.

Olive has been with Arlington Memorial Hospital since 1994, when he joined the hospital as its director of managed care. Prior to that, he spent 10 years with All Saints Healthcare System in Fort Worth and with Irving Community Hospital for eight years prior to that.

Olive earned his nursing degree from Methodist Hospital School of Nursing in Lubbock, a bachelor of science in healthcare administration from East Texas State University and a master of healthcare administration from the University of Texas at Arlington.

He is a board member of the Arlington Life Shelter, where he also serves as vice president of evaluation and planning. Olive also belongs to the Arlington Child Care Council and the American College of Health Care Executives.
