Texas Health Stephenville Volunteers Make Improvements to Women’s Services Waiting Room 09/28/2009
STEPHENVILLE, Texas — Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Stephenville volunteers recently redecorated the waiting room where many nervous grandparents-to-be have paced waiting to hear about the newest addition to the family.
Volunteers who lead the project included (from left) Darlene Adcock, Lynn Bradley, Cynthia Newton, and Kay Hilburn.
Volunteers invested more than $8,000 in furniture and decorations to make the waiting room more comfortable for anxious family members.
“We appreciate all that the volunteers do on a daily basis,” said Devra LeFevre, R.N., director of women’s services at Texas Health Stephenville. “They really outdid themselves with the beautiful waiting room redesign. The updated look provides a more home-like environment for what can be long hours of waiting.”
