Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Fort Worth Earns Consumer Choice Award for 17th Consecutive Year

FORT WORTH, Texas — Tarrant County residents once again have named Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Fort Worth a leader in health care, voting the hospital highest in quality and image in the annual National Research Corporation’s survey and 2012-2013 Consumer Choice Awards.

National Research Corporation recognizes hospitals annually based on consumer perceptions on attributes such as best doctors, best nurses, best overall quality and best image and reputation. Approximately 250,000 households in over 300 markets were surveyed through the corporation’s Ticker Survey, the nation’s largest and most comprehensive study of its kind.

“This award is a direct result of the dedication and quality care that our employees and physicians provide to our community,” said Lillie Biggins, R.N., M.S., CNAA, FACHE, president of Texas Health Fort Worth. “We are grateful that the residents of Tarrant and surrounding counties continue to choose Texas Health Fort Worth as the provider of choice for their health care needs.”

Survey results help hospitals improve performance, quality measurements, care transitions, and many other factors that impact population health management, said Susan L. Henricks, president and chief operating officer of National Research Corporation.

“The Consumer Choice Award recognizes hospitals that patients have rated as the most preferred places to receive care according to quality and image,” Henricks said. “We congratulate the recipients of the Consumer Choice Awards and salute their efforts to improve performance.”
