BEDFORD, Texas – If you'd like to get a taste of the legendary city of Venice, Italy without leaving Texas, join Harris Methodist H•E•B Hospital at its Venician-themed Women's Advisory Board Retreat September 16-18, 2005 at the Dallas Marriott Las Colinas along the Metroplex's very own Mandalay Canal in Irving.
The two-day event will channel the excitement of Venice, with special speakers, a physicians' Q&A panel, silent auction, entertainment and food. Sponsored by the Women's Advisory Board at the Harris Methodist H•E•B Hospital, the event will feature a health fair with bone density, cholesterol, glucose, hearing and blood pressure screenings. Friday night's reception will include a strolling Italian opera singer mingling with the crowd.
Nina Radford, a cardiologist with Dallas' Cooper Aerobics Clinic, will address cardiac health issues for women at the opening session. Sue Goldstein, the “Underground Shopper,” will deliver the keynote address. Highlights of the breakout sessions include talks on interior design, fashion consulting, acupuncture, specialty cooking, and the latest in cosmetic dermatology.
The 2005 retreat is organized by co-chairs Tammy Hashemian of Southlake and Colleen Meadows of Colleyville. The Women's Advisory Board is led by chair Connie Nichols.
