Texas Health Hurst-Euless-Bedford Receives Laboratory Re-Accreditation 11/23/2009
BEDFORD, Texas — Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Hurst-Euless-Bedford’s pathology laboratory has been re-accredited by the College of American Pathologists.
“Our staff works diligently each day and are thrilled our survey results reflect the time and attention they put into their work,” said Sharon Harris, director of the pathology laboratory. “We have made it a priority to retain College of American Pathologist accreditation throughout the hospital’s history and are proud to continue to maintain that high level of standards.”
To earn accreditation, labs must undergo an accreditation survey that includes inspection of two years of laboratory records and quality control procedures. The surveyors also review staff qualifications, equipment, facilities and overall management of the laboratory.
