Texas Health Southwest Names Jody Thomas Director of Human Resources

FORT WORTH, Texas — Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Southwest Fort Worth administrators appointed Jody Thomas, SPHR, as the new director of human resources. Thomas brings over 20 years of international and multi-industry human resources leadership experience to the position.

In his new role, Thomas will oversee all hospital employee relations and engagement and lead corporate-level human resources projects.

Thomas most recently served as the director of human resources for Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Stephenville. Before that, he was the director of people services for Cap Rock Energy in Midland from September 2006 until March 2009 and held human resources leadership positions at PNM Resources in Albuquerque, N.M., and Fort Worth from 1998 to 2006.

From 1989 to 1998, he served as the director of human resources and corporate services at Orle Environmental Associates in Cairo, Egypt. He began his career in a health care setting as a clinical laboratory technologist for Palo Pinto General Hospital Mineral Wells, Texas, for nine years.

Thomas holds a bachelor’s degree in theology from the Tyndale Seminary and Biblical Institute in Fort Worth. He is currently working on a master’s degree in counseling with an expected graduation date of May 2011. He is a certified Senior Professional in Human Resources by the Society for Human Resources Management.
