Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Cleburne Offers Orthopedic Care Close to Home|
CLEBURNE, Texas — Bryan Young could have chosen any number of hospitals for his knee replacement surgery, but on the advice of his primary care doctor, Young chose a physician affiliated with Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Cleburne.
“I was nervous at first,” said Young. “I wasn’t sure what to expect from a smaller hospital closer to home. I had some anxiety about having my surgery at a hospital I’d never been to before.”
Young’s cartilage in his right knee had worn down to nothing. He was using a cane to get around and it was getting more painful every day. He knew he had to do something about it and asked his primary care physician for a referral.
Young was pleasantly surprised.
“I was impressed at how professional and caring everyone was during my stay,” Young said. “I give a lot of credit to the therapists who worked with me to get me back on my feet quickly. Because of them, I’m going home instead of a rehab facility.”
Texas Health Cleburne offers knee replacement surgery, total hip replacements, shoulders (elbows), arthroscopic surgeries and reconstructions.
“We are a caring group of healthcare professionals who offer many of the same services as larger hospitals,” said Blake Kretz, president of Texas Health Cleburne. “As part of the Texas Health system, we are held to the same quality standards as our sister facilities — regardless of size or location.”
Young chose a facility close to home and was glad he did.
“Anybody would do themselves well to go to Texas Health Cleburne,” Young said. “The staff has an attitude of wanting to do what they do; not doing things because they have to. I’ll be back in a few months for my left knee.”
