Remembrance Day Ceremony is Oct. 20 at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Allen 10/09/2012
ALLEN, Texas — Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Allen will host a remembrance ceremony for families that have lost a child.
The ceremony will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct., 20, in the chapel at Texas Health Allen. A butterfly will be released in each child’s memory. October 15 is recognized as Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day.
“The ceremony we will host on October 20 is our way of helping families honor their lost children,” said Catherine Johnson, director of The Family Birthplace at Texas Health Allen. “Whether the loss was recent or further back we hope members of the community who have been affected by pregnancy or infant loss will come to the ceremony.”
