Texas Health Allen Named 'Best Hospital' and 'Best Emergency Services' by Local Newspaper Readers 09/24/2009
ALLEN, Texas — Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Allen has been selected as the “Best Hospital” and offering the “Best Emergency Services” in Allen by readers of the Allen American.
The recognition is a result of the newspaper’s annual readership survey, the 2009 Readers’ Choice Awards, published in the Sept. 24 edition. Texas Health Allen received the same distinction both last year and in 2006.
“Being recognized and appreciated by the community is truly an honor,” said Texas Health President Sheila McKinney. “This recognition symbolizes our pledge to serving and caring for the people in our community — and doing it well.”
The Allen American is one of 15 newspapers in the Dallas-Fort Worth area published by Star Community Newspapers. More than 10,000 responses were received in Readers’ Choice Awards in seven of the Star newspapers, with each publishing a local list of top businesses in their community.
