Presbyterian Hospital of Kaufman Employees Raise Nearly $22,000 for United Way|
KAUFMAN, Texas — Employees at Presbyterian Hospital of Kaufman have generously opened their hearts and pocketbooks to support the United Way.
In the 2008 campaign, Presbyterian Hospital of Kaufman employees raised nearly $22,000. More than half of the Kaufman hospital’s employees contributed to the campaign.
“Our employees prove time and time again how much they care about the community in which they live and work,” said Patsy Youngs, president of Presbyterian Hospital of Kaufman. “Even during tough financial times, our employees have stepped up and donated an incredible sum of money to agencies in Kaufman and the surrounding communities. Our employees are helping agencies with missions ranging from building houses for people in need, afterschool programs and extracurricular activities, Meals on Wheels, and senior citizens causes.”
Leading the hospital’s campaign were Susan Stone, operating room manager, Jill Raymond, Youngs’ administrative assistant, and Mark Sanders, R.N., M.S.N., director of the emergency department.
Presbyterian Hospital of Kaufman employees joined with the remaining 18,000 Texas Health Resources employees to donate more than $1.2 million to the United Way during this campaign. In the past nine years, Texas Health has raised nearly $8 million from its annual United Way campaigns.
