Texas Health Plano Employee Named 'Top 25 Rad Tech' 12/06/2010
PLANO, Texas — Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Plano is home to one of this year’s Top 25 Radiologic Technologists in North Texas.
Brian Wooters, a radiographer at Texas Health Plano, was presented the award by the North Texas Radiologic Technologists Society. The “Top 25 Rad Techs” in North Texas are selected for their overall job performance, special efforts, and community, civic and professional involvement.
“Brian is great with patients and works hard to make them feel comfortable in a clinical setting. He also goes out of his way to help everyone he works with,” said Michael Putman, Texas Health Plano’s director of radiology. “We are proud of his achievement and glad to have him on the team.”
Wooters is a graduate of Midwestern State University where he earned an associate of applied science degree in Radiologic Science. He began his career in 2002 at Medical City Dallas and joined Texas Health Plano in 2004.
Wooters was responsible for designing special equipment and accessories for the Texas Health Plano’s fluoroscopy room so that defecography exams could be given. As a result of his contribution, the radiology department has been providing defecography exams to patients for over a year. He also assists Brookhaven College radiology students in learning department protocols and improving their skills.
