In her new role, Lesh will be responsible for patient safety programs such as SAFE Choices and the Patient Safety Culture initiative, as well as risk management functions. A former Texas Health Plano employee, Lesh is returning after a three-year break, during which she received a master’s degree in instructional and performance technology from Boise State University.

“Kim brings a true passion for patient safety to her work,” said Dr. Jeffrey Canose, hospital president. “We are so pleased she decided to return to Texas Health Plano.”

Lesh returns to Texas Health Plano with significant experience in patient safety initiatives and supervision of risk management issues.

“I am thrilled to be back at Texas Health Plano because of the strong focus on patient safety,” Lesh said. “I am looking forward to working with a great team to continue to improve the culture of safety at the hospital.”

Lesh also holds a bachelor's degree in nursing from Northwestern State University. She is a registered nurse, holding endorsement from the Texas Board of Nurse Examiners. She is a certified professional in Healthcare Risk Management and a certified legal nurse consultant. She is a member of both the American Society of Healthcare Risk Management (ASHRM) and North Texas Society for Healthcare Risk Management (NTSHRM).
