Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Plano Recognized for Addressing Needs of Women and Families 10/13/2011
PLANO, Texas — Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Plano has been named a Top Hospital for Patient Experience by WomenCertified®. The recognition went to hospitals based on female patient satisfaction and reports from women about what they want in a hospital.
The organization uses nationally available data in the Hospital Consumer Assessment of Health Care Providers and Systems (HCAHPS) to base its scores on. HCAHPS is a national survey of all hospitals. WomenCertified® chooses the questions on the HCAHPS survey that are more important to women than men and then scores the results accordingly.
“Texas Health Plano is pleased to be recognized for the care we provide each day to women in our community,” said Dr. Jeffrey Canose, hospital president. “We strive each day to empower women to take control of their health care and our employees take very seriously their mission to improve the health of the communities we serve.”
