Laboratory Earns Reaccreditation at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Plano|
PLANO, Texas — Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Plano laboratory department recently was reaccredited by The College of American Pathologists’ Laboratory Accreditation Program.

“We are proud of the quality work our laboratory staff does each day and the great results from our survey reinforce that fact,” said Mike Evans, B.S.N, M.S.N, hospital president.
The accreditation inspection examines more than 1,300 quality control procedures and lab records, such as staff qualifications, equipment, safety protocol and facility management.
Dr. Mike Deck, medical director, said he was proud of the department’s effort in the recent accreditation inspection of the clinical laboratory at Texas Health Plano, especially since the lab had no deficiencies cited.
“We hold ourselves to high standards and our recent accreditation inspection results are a testament to the consistency and proficiency of the people who work in the lab,” he said. “This accreditation is considered the pinnacle of laboratory accreditation and we are so proud of the team for earning it.”
