Presbyterian Hospital of Plano Receives “Best Hospital” and “Best Emergency Care” Distinction

PLANO, Texas — Presbyterian Hospital of Plano (PHP) has been selected as the “Best Hospital” and the “Best Emergency Care” in the city by readers of the Plano Star Courier.

The recognition is a result of the newspaper’s annual readership survey, the 2008 Readers’ Choice Awards, published in its Sept. 28 Plano Insider edition. PHP received the same distinction in 2006.

“This is an honor we do not take lightly,” said PHP President Philip M. Wentworth. “Not once, but twice, the community has shown recognition and appreciation for our services. It’s a tribute to our employees, our staff and the physicians who work with us, providing exceptional patient care on a daily basis.”

The Plano Star Courier is one of 15 newspapers in the Dallas-Fort Worth area comprising Star Community Newspapers, a subsidiary of American Community Newspapers, LLC. More than 10,000 responses were received in Readers’ Choice Awards in six of the Star newspapers, with each publishing a local list of top businesses in their community.
