The program for women at Texas Health Seay Behavioral Health Center addresses postpartum depression, loss of a child (including miscarriage) and hormone-related depression. Patients can be referred to the program by a physician, therapist, employee assistance program, counselor, or through self-referral.
You Are Not Alone
Everyone occasionally feels blue or sad, but when a woman has a depressive disorder, it interferes with daily life and normal functioning, and causes pain for both the woman and those who care about her.
Depression is a common but serious illness and most that have it need treatment to get better. The earlier the treatment begins, the more effective it is. The program for women is designed to balance treatment requirements with work, education and home-life schedules.
Texas Health Seay Center and its outpatient center offer evaluations and assessment services free of charge. Patients in crisis may be sent directly from a physician's office. Patients can walk in any time Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., or call 972-981-8300. Patients can also make a scheduled appointment at Frisco location at 972-981-4212.
