The scan takes about 20 minutes, and for a limited time only during the months of November and December 2009 will cost $370.83. The test is performed using an electrocardiogram that is connected to a scanner to measure calcified plaque in the major vessels of the heart; the non-invasive scanner acquires thousands of x-ray images providing valuable information to help identify potential health risks before they become symptomatic.
