Electrophysiology Services

Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Denton is opening Denton's only comprehensive Electrophysiology Lab that will help patients with abnormal heart rhythms, or arrhythmias, as well as severe heart failure receive cardiac ablation services and device implants.

Many of us do not routinely notice our heart beating until it becomes too slow or too fast or becomes irregular and we experience symptoms such as palpitations, dizziness or loss of consciousness.

An abnormal rate or irregular rhythm in the heart's electrical system can affect blood flow to the brain and other parts of the body — which might prove to be life threatening. If you have experienced these symptoms, contact your physician as soon as possible.

The EP lab at Texas Health Denton will give physicians the capability to reprogram the heart's rate or rhythm or program an implanted device for lifesaving support using specialized mapping techniques. To offer each patient some of the most advanced technology and services available, we have developed relationships with many vendors to make Texas Health Denton your destination for complex device implants and ablation therapies.
