A dedicated team of health care professionals at the Diabetes Center helps individuals manage their disease through education, positive reinforcement and ongoing motivation. The center offers self-management plans tailored to the specific needs of the each person, including:
- Programs designed for individuals with Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes, gestational diabetes, or pregnant women with existing diabetes
- Education team that includes certified diabetes educators, registered nurses and registered dietitians
- Classes available mornings, afternoons and evenings with required physician referral and pre-registration
- Lance-A-Lots Support Group, a diabetes organization for adults, shares information, inspiration, and activities on a monthly basis
