Kim Irwin Diabetes Education Assistant 817-960-6025
Kim Irwin has been with the department since 2010 and is responsible for keeping the Diabetes Education Center running smoothly.
She is a native Chicagoan, and came to Texas Health Arlington Memorial from a medical center in West Bend, Wis. There, she was a patient access service representative scheduling and registering patients in multiple specialty clinics.
Irwin will often be the first person you see when you come to the center.

Joni Killen, RD, LD Diabetes Educator 817-960-6026
Joni Killen has been a registered dietitian since 2001 and has worked at Texas Health Arlington Memorial since 1992. She brings experience from inpatient and outpatient nutrition counseling.
Currently, she is specializing in diabetes education and plans to become a certified diabetes educator.
Killen earned a bachelor's degree in clinical dietetics from UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas.

Kay Peacock, MS, RD, CDE Diabetes Educator and Coordinator of Program 817-960-6403
Kay Peacock is the program's coordinator. She has been a registered dietitian since 1993 and certified diabetes educator since 2005. She has experience in classroom diabetes education, nutrition counseling, and clinic visits with a physician.
Peacock enjoys seeing people through the education process and helping them to achieve their goals.

Denice Taylor, RD, LD Registered Dietitian 817-960-6195
Denice Taylor is a registered and licensed dietitian working in outpatient nutrition services and is an invaluable resource for the diabetes education program.
She counsels a variety of patients with diabetes, obesity, cardiovascular and gastrointestinal disorders, along with other conditions requiring special nutrition care.
Taylor also participates in community events to promote good choices in nutrition and physical activity.
