Blake Kretz

Blake Kretz, FACHE, joined Texas Health Resources in 2007 as president of Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Cleburne. Kretz was previously with Graham Regional Medical Center in Graham, Texas, where he served as administrator and CEO. Prior to that, he was chief operating officer at Graham Regional for a year and held administrative leadership roles at HCA St. Mark's Hospital in Salt Lake City from 1992 to 1995.

Kretz also has hands-on experience in the medical profession as an orthopedic physician's assistant at Lewisville Orthopedic Associates from 1985 to 1990.

Kretz is a native Texan and a graduate of Harlingen High School and Abilene Christian University. He has a master's degree in health care administration from Trinity University in San Antonio.

In his spare time he plays golf and enjoys being with his family. Kretz and his wife, Lori, have two children, Nicole and Michael.

Chief Nursing Officer

Lorrie Normand, R.N., B.S.N., M.H.A.
Lorrie Normand, R.N.

Lorrie Normand, R.N., B.S.N., M.H.A., began her role as chief nursing officer at Texas Health Clebune in May 2012.

She came to the hospital with 20 years of nursing leadership experience. Normand previously served as vice president of quality management and interim chief nursing officer for Plaza Medical Center of Fort Worth. She has also served as chief nursing officer for Menorah Medical Center in Overland Park, Kan.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Texas Christian University, a master’s in health care administration from the University of Texas at Arlington, and is pursuing a doctorate in nursing practice.

Chief Medical Officer

Judy Laviolette, M.D.
Judy Laviolette, M.D.

Judy Laviolette, M.D., serves as the chief medical officer at Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Azle and Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Cleburne, positions she's held since Dec. 30, 2013.

Laviolette, a physician executive with clinical experience in private, government and academic sectors since the late 1980s, joined Texas Health Resources from Overton Brooks Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Shreveport, La, where she served as internal medicine/hospitalist section chief, and assistant professor of clinical medicine at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center. She also served as a member of the Executive Committee and chair of the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee.
 
Laviolette’s diverse experience includes time in internal medicine private practice and management of a physician multispecialty group practice. Previous duties as regional chief medical officer for Christus Schumpert Health System in Shreveport, La., included oversight of all medical practices and clinical quality, direct responsibility for the operational function of the medical staff office and CME program, credentialing and privileges, quality resource management, case management and physician management of adult and pediatric hospitalist programs, adult and pediatric critical care programs, and pediatric subspecialty physician practices. She also led Christus Schumpert efforts to achieve 95th percentile or greater in all CMS core quality measures, including platinum and silver awards from Louisiana Healthcare Quality Review.
 
Notably, Laviolette coordinated medical efforts for Northwest Louisiana in response to the hurricane Katrina disaster and evacuation of New Orleans-area hospitals.
 
She earned a bachelor of science degree in zoology from Louisiana Tech University in Ruston, La., and a medical doctorate from Louisiana State University Medical School in Shreveport, La. She also completed an internship and residency in internal medicine at LSU Medical School. Laviolette is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and has served as a mentor for LSU medical students, interns and residents.
 
In her free time, she enjoys traveling and cooking, wine-tasting, dining out with friends and boating.
