When you become a volunteer at Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Cleburne, you join a team of caring professionals whose mission is to improve the health of the people in the community they serve. Together with physicians on the medical staff, their vision is to be recognized by the community for faith-based care delivery, illness prevention and health education.

Volunteer Program
Do you like to meet and greet people? Deliver flowers and cards? Help with gift purchases? Why not share your smile and consider volunteering at Texas Health Cleburne.

Hospital volunteers provide a friendly smile and a helping hand. They can be found greeting visitors at the information desk, updating family members in waiting rooms and delivering flowers to patients throughout the hospital. Volunteers also manage the gift shop and handle buying and sales duties.

Several new volunteer positions have been added in admissions, mail delivery and on the hospital's new floor, giving directions. Whether you prefer to sit, stand or be active, you can find a place to help. All volunteers are members of the hospital's auxiliary.

Volunteers are asked to commit to at least one four-hour shift a week, either 8 a.m. to noon or noon to 4 p.m., but other times can be arranged.

Junior Volunteer Program
During the summer, Texas Health Cleburne opens the volunteer program to students 14 and older who have completed the eighth grade. Volunteers commit to working four hours a week from the first week of June until the first week of August. Volunteers accepted into the program must attend the employee orientation.

There are many benefits to becoming a Junior Volunteer. In addition to helping others, Junior Volunteers have the opportunity to meet new friends, learn new skills, gain new insights and achieve a sense of accomplishment.
