BLS for Healthcare Provider

The BLS for Healthcare Provider course is designed to teach the skills of CPR for victims of all ages. The course includes instruction in ventilation with a barrier device and a bag-mask device, using an automated external defibrillator (AED), and relief of foreign body airway obstruction. It is intended for participants who provide health care to patients in a wide variety of settings including but not limited to physicians, nurses, paramedics, EMT's, respiratory, physical & occupational therapists. This course is a prerequisite for AHA advanced courses such as ACLS, PALS & BLS instructor courses. Course completion includes a two year certification and textbook from the American Heart Association. The manual is included in the price of this course and will be available at the class time. If you'd prefer to have your manual prior to the class you may call 214-345-4687 and arrange a day and time pick up your book from the CVC. REFUND To receive a partial refund you must cancel your class two weeks prior to the start of the class. Refunds will not be permitted after 120 days of class registration. A processing fee is charged on all refunds. To reschedule your class you must call two weeks prior to the start of the class to avoid a rescheduling fee.
