Cesarean Birth

This class is for patients that are preparing for a planned cesarean birth and is usually about two to three hours long. Topics include: reasons for cesarean birth, cesarean birth process, anesthesia discussion, and recovery/postpartum. A hospital tour is included. There is no charge for this class. Do not take this class if you are enrolling in a childbirth class (Prepared Childbirth, Lamaze or Multiples) as this information is already included in the childbirth class. You may bring food and something to drink. It is recommended that you wear layers as the temperature may vary. We strongly recommend taking your class at the hospital where you are delivering your baby. BAD WEATHER If bad weather occurs on the day of your scheduled class, please call 972-981-3948 and listen to the recorded message to find out if your class is cancelled.
