Heartsaver First Aid

This is a one day class. This American Heart Association (AHA) course is designed for anyone with limited or no medical training who needs a course completion card in first aid to meet job, regulatory, or other requirements. The goal of the Heartsaver First Aid Course is to train participants to perform basic first aid for medical, injury, and environmental emergencies. This course does not include CPR or AED training. The AHA recommends that you take the time to review the objectives provided in the Heartsaver First Aid Student Workbook to help you prepare for the program. This textbook may be picked up in advance or arrangements may be made for shipping, if time allows, by contacting the Texas Health Arlington Memorial Education Center at 817-960-6408. You will be practicing skills that require bending, standing, and lifting. If you have physical conditions that might prevent you from participating in the course, please tell the instructor when you arrive for the course. The instructor will work to accommodate your needs within the stated course completion requirements. The class is primarily driven by video instruction and therefore must begin promptly at the scheduled time; unfortunately late arrivals cannot be accommodated. The American Heart Association strongly promotes knowledge and proficiency in BLS, ACLS, and PALS and has developed instructional materials for this purpose. Use of these materials in an educational course does not represent course sponsorship by the American Heart Association. Any fees charged for such a course, except for a portion of fees needed for AHA course material, do not represent income to the Association. REFUND To receive a refund you must cancel your class two weeks prior to the start of the class. Refunds will not be permitted after 120 days of class registration. To reschedule your class you must call two weeks prior to the start of the class to avoid a rescheduling fee.
