A Retrospective Review to Evaluate Pain for Patients that were Surgically Treated for their Fractures (Orthopedics / Fracture Repair)
The primary purpose of this study is to evaluate the severity of pain that can be expected in patients sustaining orthopedic trauma. Assessing the level of pain for traumatic orthopedic injuries will help establish a reasonable expected time frame of recovery for different injuries.
All patients treated by the PI between 6/1/06 and 1/1/10 timeframe.
All patients >18 years of age.
Subjects who experienced a fracture with surgical repair.
Patients treated by the PI between before 6/1/06 and after 1/1/10 timeframe.
Less than 18 years of age.
Treated for a CPT code other than 27506, 28514, 27814, 27559, 24515, 24516, and 27535.
History of RSD-Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy Syndrome.
History of chronic long term pain management for any diagnosis.
More than one single fracture except for Tibia (with or without fibula fracture).
