Biosite Triage CardioprofilER POC Outcomes Studies for Faster Treatment of Heart Attacks (Heart / Myocardial Infarction)
This study involves reviewing the medical charts of patients that are seen at the Texas Health Arlington Memorial Emergency Department. The purpose of this study is to see if the use of a rapid bedside cardiac marker panel, combined with a serial marker risk assessment protocol, can lead to faster patient disposition decisions, improved emergency department (ED) workflow and faster treatment of patients with non-ST-elevation MI (NSTEMI).
Patients who present to the Emergency Department with a heart attack who have cardiac markers (a type of blood test) drawn.
