CAROTID STENTING FOR HIGH SURGICAL RISK PATIENTS: EVALUATING OUTCOMES (Heart / Stent)
Description
Treatment of carotid artery stenosis, or blockage using one of Abbott Vascular’s carotid stent systems and embolic protection systems.

Inclusion/Notes
INCLUSION:
Patient or patient's legally authorized representative provided informed consent.
Patient is considered at high risk for cartoid angioplasty and stenting for cartoid artery disease.
Patient requires percutaneous cartoid angioplasty and stenting for cartoid artery disease.
Patient's physician intends to use and RX Acculink with RX Accunet or an Xact with the Embosheild in the carotid artery as per the FDA approval indications for use outlined bleow:
1.Patients with neurological symptoms and >50% stenosis of the common or internal carotid artery by ultra sound or angiogram.
2. Patients without neurological symptome and >80% stenosis of the common or internal carotid artery by ultrasound or aniogram.
