Title   Carotid Stenting for High Surgical-Risk Patients; Evaluating Outcomes after stent placed in carotid artery (Heart /Stent)
Description   In this study, patients with carotid artery disease will be followed for one month after they have had a commerically available Abbot Vascular Carotid stent put in their carotid artery.

Inclusion/Notes   INCLUSION:
  • Patient or Patient's legally authorized representative provided informed consent.

  • Patient is considered high risk for carotid endarterectomy.

  • Patient requires percutaneous carptod amgoplasty and stenting for cartoid artery disease.

  • Patient's physician intends to use an RX Acculink with the RX Accunet or an Xact with the Emboshield in the carotid artery.

  • Patients with neurological symtoms and >50% stenosis of the common or internal carotid artery or Patients without neurological symtoms and >80% stenosis of the common or internal carotid artery.
