Disease or Condition   Osteoarthritis / Hip Replacement
Title   Long term data collection on hip replacements with the ArComXL (Orthopedics / Hip Replacement)
Description   The purpose of this study is to document the long-term performance of the hip replacement ArComXL.

Inclusion/Notes   INCLUSION:
  • Non-inflammatory degenerative joint disease including osteoarthritis and avascular necrosis.

  • Rheumatiod arthritis.

  • Correction of functional deformity.

  • Treatment of non-union, femoral neck fracture, and trochanteric fractures of the proximal femur with head involvement, unmanageable by other techniques.

  • Revision of previously failed total hip arthroplasty.

  • Need to obtain pain relief and improve function.

  • Ability and willingness of the patient to follow instuctions including control of weight and activity level.

  • A good nutritional state of the patient.

  • The patient must have reached full skeletal maturity.

  • Infection, sepsis, osteomyelitis.

  • Uncooperative patent or patirent with a neurologic disorder who are incapable of following directions.

  • Osteoporosis.

  • Metabolic disorders which may impair bone formation.

  • Distant foci of infections which may spreaf to the implant site.
